VP interview, Labor Day kickoff

Last night Vice President Kamala Harris and her running-mate Governor Tim Walz finally sat down for an interview on CNN.  Most observers found the interview to be a non-event, check the box event.  The thing for the Harris campaign is it took one issue off the table.

Traditionally campaigns start after Labor Day when voters have returned from summer vacations and the routine of school and work have returned.  Polling continues to show a close race for President.  The next big event is the scheduled debate to be aired on ABC on September 10.   In my view there are still some speedbumps that could put the debate in jeopardy but as of now both sides have agreed to the ground rules, date, and broadcast station.
