Government Reopens (Mostly)

Most of the U.S. government is now funded through the remainder of the current fiscal year that runs until Oct. 1.  As Congress strives to be out during October in election years, the new FY 2027 budget will need to be passed on time to both avoid a shutdown and allow members of the House and Senate who are running for re-election to get home and campaign.
