Majors Bitcoin and Ethereum are down .18% and .09%, while altcoins are a mixed bag. Solana is down 2.52%, while Avalanche and BNB are up 1.06% and 1.41%, respectively. Traditional markets are down at the time of writing - SPX dropped .95%, and NDQ dropped 1.78%. Interestingly, Bitcoin Dominance, a metric that measures Bitcoin's total percent of the entire crypto market cap, is down 11% since its high earlier this month. This decline is the most significant monthly decrease since October-November of 2021. A portion of this decrease is likely due to the forced selling of Bitcoin from overleveraged institutions such as Three Arrows Capital.SEC Chairman, Gary Gensler, clarified his position on cryptocurrency regulation in an interview on Monday.
