At the time of writing, the overall crypto market is trading 6% lower compared to 24 hours prior, as Bitcoin and Ethereum trade 6% and 9% lower, respectively, over the same period. As referenced above, the PBOC released a new document laying out its intentions for stricter regulatory measures on crypto. The document stated that all fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto transactions are deemed illegal. While we are witnessing an immediate sell-off, there does appear to be buying support coming online as market participants digest the information.
