Market Responds to XRP Charges (Part 3)
Additional exchanges have decided to halt trading of XRP due to the recent SEC law suit:
- Crypto exchange Bittrex plans to halt XRP trading on January 15th.
- UK-based Wirex will not include XRP in the US version of its new cryptocurrency app.
I Want to be Paid in Bitcoin
Numerous articles appeared yesterday that Carolina Panther’s offensive tackle Russel Okung had become the first NFL player to be paid in bitcoin. According to the reports, Okung was going to receive half of $13 million salary in BTC. However, this story is not exactly as it appears. Both the NFL and Panthers confirm that Okung is receiving his entire salary in US dollars just like every other player, and that “his people are converting some of the money into bitcoin.”
