- The crypto market is still in a back-and-forth where one day's losses are made up for by the next day's gains, and vice versa. Bitcoin is down 0.1% and Ethereum is up 3.0% over the past 24 hours, and the overall market is down 0.5%, but early morning momentum is leaning negative for the day.
- Yesterday, India announced that it was going to consider a bill that would "prohibit all private cryptocurrencies." It is rumored that this is being done in advance of India rolling out its own CBDC, so that the ban would prevent the possibility of private cryptocurrencies undermining the Rupee, India's native currency. There is an interesting divergence occurring where some developing countries are embracing crypto as a means of advancing into the future of finance, while others are attacking it as a threat against economic and financial sovereignty.
- As we near the season of giving, it is reported that Fidelity Charitable, the largest public charity in the US, has received over $270 million via Bitcoin and Ethereum donations YTD. The charity's vice president stated that all donations in crypto are currently exchanged for fiat currency in order to protect the donation from volatility in the crypto market, but it is exciting to see crypto wealth playing a major role in the world of philanthropy.

| Daily Technical Strategy | | While much of recent gains have been led by Metaverse tokens, some interesting relative strength has been happening in Ethereum recently that bears paying attention to. The Ethereum Market Cap Dominance chart has just managed to break out above the highs of its consolidation going back since this Spring as of yesterday, Tuesday 10/23. This is an important and bullish development that should allow ETHUSD to start to show much further relative strength vs other Alt-coins in the days/weeks to come. While ETH and BTC have both languished in consolidation in recent weeks, this recent pick-up in relative strength by ETHUSD likely leads to the start of this pushing back to new all-time highs into December. Minor weakness should be used to buy, with daily closes over 4440 being used to add to long positions. | |
